What are dental implants?

A Dental Implant is an artificial root made of titanium metal that is inserted in the jawbone in order to replace the root of your natural tooth. Dental Implants are done to replace damaged or missing teeth, with artificial one that look and functions like natural teeth’s. Once the implant is inserted, an artificial tooth (crown or denture) is placed on top of the abutment of the implant, giving you the look of a new tooth.

Who performs this procedure?

Usually, your dentist will refer you to a dental specialist such as a Maxillofacial surgeon or Periodontist who specializes in dental implants.

Am I eligible for Dental Implants?

If you have healthy gums, are in good health and have enough bone to support an implant then you could be an eligible candidate.
